How FamilySearch.org Works

Patrons create their own “Free Account” by going to www.familysearch.org. Patrons must keep up with the login and password since we do not have access to their information. Patron’s account will work from their home computer but they need to be in a Hall County Library building to get the expanded level of resources.

There are four levels of information:

1st is the free information patrons can get access from home or anywhere,

2nd is the Affiliated level which is what we have just become,

3rd is information available within an LDS church library,

4th level is only available in their main building in Utah.

Help Identify Historic Hall County Photographs

Old GVL Photo300

Please enter a comment if you can identify a person, place, date or event for posterity!

We are so grateful to Ellie Wingate for putting our library’s unidentified vintage photographs on Facebook as part of her Girl Scout Silver Award project. See the first 30 historic local images now. Ellie will add several more each week. These old-time scenes of Gainesville are undocumented and we need your help to caption them.
