Return to Page 1 for homework ideas

Text Box: Write down your homework assignment, and remember to turn in your work to your teacher when you are done. Don’t turn your homework in late!

Remember to study every day. Do it at the same time and place. If you’re not ready when you get home from school, try studying after you have a snack.

Start early. Don’t wait until bedtime to work on your math or spelling!

Ask your mom or dad or your teacher to help you if you get stuck.

Work on projects and reports a little every day so you don’t have to do all of it at the last minute.
Text Box: Go early so you will have a better chance of your getting the books you need. You may need to ask the librarian to get books from another branch for you. That takes a little more time.

Remember to take these things when you go to the
      library:
	your assignment
          	your text book, if you
	      need it
	paper, pens, pencils,
                  erasers
	change for the copier
	your library card

Learn how to look up what you need on the computer catalog. Ask for help if you need to. Librarians are happy to help!

            Be ready

Text Box: Your media center is a good place to begin your homework or project, of course.

The public library has great books and magazines to help you with your homework.

When you go to the library: Find the bathroom and
	photocopier.

Look for the encyclopedias and the dictionary. Find the informational books.

Say hello to the librarian! The librarian can tell you when the library is open, how to get a library card, or what you need to do to use a computer.
