Giving

There are five ways to show your support for the Hall County library through giving. Your gift is tax deductible since the library system is a 501c3 organization. For more information please call 770-532-3311 x 134.

Monetary:
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated because they allow the library to purchase materials from a vendor at a discount and receive them already processed and cataloged, so they can be immediately placed in circulation upon receipt.
The library is currently upgrading its equipment and furnishings in the main library in Gainesville and the Blackshear Place Branch. A gift to purchase an item in recognition of someone would last many years and be seen and appreciated by thousands of library patrons in Hall County.

Materials:
The Hall County Library System will be pleased to consider gifts of books, CD music, computer CDs, DVDs, and videos. The material will be assessed for appropriateness for the library collection. Material deemed unsuitable or unnecessary will not be returned to the original donor but donated to the Friends of Hall County Library for sale to raise additional funds. We do not accept donations of magazines or textbooks.

To donate a book in memory or in honor of someone, please make sure to put the information on a gift form or tell a staff member if dropping a new book by the branch. The staff at your local branch can help you complete a gift form.

Wishlist:
A Quick and Easy and easy way to donate from home is to just click on the Amazon Wish List and place your order. The books will be delivered directly to the library.

Friends:
The Friends of Hall County Library System accepts donations. All funds the organization raises go directly to supporting library programs such as Vacation Reading, staff training and author visits.
Foundation: The library is part of the North Georgia Community Foundation and maintains a development fund earning interest that will be used in future capital campaigns to improve programs and services. This is a lasting gift that will impact the lives of future generations.
