Reading Takes You Everywhere and Lost in Time

Blackshear Place always "does things up right" when it's time to decorate for VRP. They certainly help to get everyone in the mood for lots of reading and lots of fun.

That Puppet Guy, Lee Bryan, kicked off VRP for us with some of his friends--The Wolf, Red Riding Hood, Her Granny, and even the Three Little Pigs; and he did a different show in a couple of branches.

When our scheduled performer had an accident and couldn't make it, storyteller Linda Martin, Media Specialist at Sugar Hill Elementary School stepped in and told some wonderful stories.

Due to an unexpected flood at the Gainesville Branch, the Arts Council graciously loaned us space for juggler Ron Anglin's performance at the George Mintz Auditorium just up the street.

Once again one of the teens' favorite VRP activities is getting temporary tattoos.

The teens were up to the challenge of Food Fear Factor. Go teens!

Magician Arthur Atsma kept his audiences mesmerized and laughing with his tricks and antics.

Musicians Caroline and Danny plucked and sang their way into our hearts.

The teens had a blast creating "robots" from recycled materials.

Storyteller Akbar Imhotep wound up our VRP activities for this year.

Teens wound up their VRP activities with a game day (with snacks, of course).
