Library Card Reminders
To obtain a library card for the school, the media specialist or principal must bring or mail a request on school letterhead signed by the principal to any Hall County Library branch. The letter must acknowledge that the principal understands the school will be responsible for lost, damaged, or overdue books
To check out books on a school card (which is held by the library, not the school), teachers must fill out a Teacher Request form and return it to the media specialist who will forward the completed form to the library.
Neither teachers, principals, nor media specialists may come to a library branch and check out materials on the school library card. They must use their personal cards. Teacher Request forms should be faxed or mailed to the headquarters branch or e-mailed to phaynes@hallcountylibrary.org.
Hall County Library System is a member of PINES, the statewide library network combining the resources of public libraries across the state. Even if they live in a county whose library system does not participate, anyone who lives in Georgia may obtain a PINES card by asking in a participating library. Hall County Library System does not, however, fill Teacher Requests with titles from other library systems.
